Following its acquisition by Chrysalis Capital Partners in March, Polartec LLC (formerly Malden Mills) has promoted the company’s chief operating officer Andrew Vecchione to president. He takes over from Michael Spillane who will now join Nike as president of Converse North America. Mr Spillane, who has led the company since July 2004, will maintain an advisory role as a member of Polartec’s board of directors.

Mr Vecchione has also been with Polartec since 2004 and has managed the company’s operations at its Lawrence, Massachusetts, Hudson, New Hampshire, and Shanghai, China manufacturing facilities.
