Huntsman’s MDI prices increased in Europe

15/05/2007

Following an announcement of price rises in the Americas earlier in the month, the polyurethanes division of American chemical company Huntsman Corporation is to increase prices for all component MDI products (including all polymeric and pure MDI grades) in the EMEA region by €100 per tonne from June 1, or as contracts allow.

The company cited sustained high growth rates for MDI across Europe and rising costs of key raw materials as its reasons behind the increase.

The company manufactures products for a number of industries such as textiles, footwear, chemicals, plastics and automotive. It has 14,000 employees and 75 operations in 24 countries.
