Income increases at Benetton
Italian manufacturer of men's, women's, and children's casual wear and footwear The Benetton Group has posted improved consolidated financial results for the first quarter.
Net revenues improved €44 million (+10.5%) to €460 million compared with €416 million in the prior-year period, driven mainly by the apparel segment. Net income was €27 million compared with €24 million in the first quarter of 2006.
Growth was seen across most brands, particularly in the new Sisley Young children’s collections, the Sisley adult line and the Playlife brand.
Revenues were boosted by solid sales in the Mediterranean region, including
