Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation has named Bob Wright to the company's board of directors, increasing the number of board members to twelve. He currently serves as vice chairman of the board, an executive officer and a member of the corporate executive office of the General Electric Company.

Mr Wright joined TV network NBC as president and chief executive officer in 1986 and served as chairman and CEO and  served as chairman and chief executive officer of NBC Universal from May 2004 to February this year, and as chairman of the NBC Universal board of directors until May 1.
