US designer of golf apparel and golf-inspired sportswear Ashworth, Inc. has made several management changes and plans to cut 16 positions at the company.

Edward Fadel has returned to the company as president, effective immediately, and will oversee all of Ashworth’s sales, customer service and sourcing whilst sharing responsibility for design with John Ashworth. He replaces Gary Schneiderman who has left the company. Peter Holmberg, executive vice president - Green Grass Sales and Merchandising, has also resigned in order to return to his home in Seattle.

The company has also eliminated 16 staff positions in an effort to streamline operations and “better align its cost structure with its core business strategy”.
