US casual, active, work, outdoor sport and uniform footwear company Wolverine World Wide has named Scott Sible—currently vice president and general manager of its Merrell business—as president, Merrell. In his new capacity, Mr Sible will assume greater responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction and general management of Merrell Footwear and Merrell Apparel on a global basis. He will continue reporting to Jacques Lavertue, president of the Outdoor Group at Wolverine.

Wolverine’s brands include Merrell, Bates, Hush Puppies, HYTEST, Sebago and Wolverine and holds exclusive footwear licences for brands such as Harley-Davidson and Patagonia.
