US sporting apparel company Domino, Inc. has secured $1 million of funding from the Knight Group, which the company will use to expand sales and marketing efforts, broaden product development and offerings, develop additional collegiate cycling sponsorships, and pursue strategic partners for Leather with Lycra. Domino holds a long-term exclusive and renewable trademark licence from Invista North America S.a r.l and Invista Technologies S.a r.l., encompassing North America and Europe, for use of Invista’s Leather with Lycra brand in connection with cycling, equestrian, motorcycling, skateboarding, and inline skating apparel categories. Domino is the first company to license the material for use in connection with sporting apparel.

Leather with Lycra fabric combines the protective, aesthetic and tactile qualities of leather with the stretch and recovery of Lycra. Unlike most leather applications in apparel, it is machine washable and dryable and maintains its performance qualities throughout the life of the garment.
