Switzerland-based Schoeller’s water and windproof membrane technology c_change, which is capable of independent flexible adaptation of its moisture vapour permeability, has been awarded an Innovation Prize at this year’s Avantex technical textiles show in Frankfurt, Germany.

Commenting on the jury’s choice, Jan Laperre, deputy director-general Centexbel and one of the jury members said, "This flexible adaptability based on a clever use of material properties has made it possible to improve the comfort of wear of membrane clothing in changing climates.” He added, "The clothing sector wants to and indeed needs to offer the consumer interesting new products through innovative materials and technologies. This is certainly the case here at Schoeller with the c_change membrane and the bi-elastic membrane fabrics.”
