UK-based producer of touch-sensitive smart fabrics for consumer electronics in apparel and accessories Eleksen Group plc. has released new dry cleanable, programmable sensor technology at the current Avantex show in Frankfurt, which is said to be particularly suitable for everyday clothing with high cleaning frequency such as board shorts, shirts, jeans, suits and evening wear.

The ElekTex smart fabric transforms labels and jacket sleeves into controls for mobile entertainment and communications devices. The sensors are lightweight and durable and this new version of its textile touchpads can be dry cleaned.
