US apparel, accessories and footwear retailer Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has announced several organisational changes in an attempt to streamline the company’s operations.

Under the new structure, division president of PacSun Tom Kennedy will take over responsibility for PacSun’s store operations, while senior vice president and chief financial officer Gerald Chaney will become responsible for the company’s distribution centre and the global logistics and trade compliance departments.

As part of the realignment strategy, the position of chief operating officer has been eliminated and former chief operating officer Wendy Burden will leave the company.
