Snugpak signs supply agreement with Latvian army

UK-based sleeping bag manufacturer Snugpak has signed a £1.8 million deal with the Latvian Army to supply insulated jackets and trousers to its 6,000 troops. The contract also includes clothing for an additional 1,500 reserves each year for the next five years. The six-year deal was signed at a formal ceremony in Riga following two years of discussions with the company.

It initially supplied 40 kits for the winter 2005/2006 period to be tested and a further 300 sets were trialled by Latvian special forces personnel last winter.
