Germany-based manufacturer of industrial sewing machines Pfaff Industrie Maschinen AG has acquired all of the shares of its Chinese joint venture Shanghai Pfaff-Zoje Machinery Industry Ltd, effective June 1.

The company, which was established with Zoje Sewing Machine Co., Ltd in 2003, recently opened a new plant in Taicang which began production of basic sewing machines for the leather industry in January and added a further production line for industrial high-speed sewing machines in March.
