Avery Dennison to present at Supply Chain Summit

22/06/2007

US-based brand identification Avery Dennison will present the benefits of item-level RFID implementation to retailers at the Supply Chain Summit in California, USA, on June 25-27.

Director of Global Marketing RFID & Security Philip Calderbank will speak on ‘Item Level RFID Tagging: Marks & Spencer and New Balance Case Studies’, addressing the challenges of tagging individual items. It will focus on product and brand security, supplier relations and enhanced interaction between sales staff and customers.

Item-level RFID can help to increase sales by minimising stock shortages, analysing stockroom inventories and enhancing security. The company’s RFID tags and labels incorporate a new set of antenna designs based on printed ink technology. Combined with advanced production techniques, it can offer apparel and footwear retailers RFID ‘edge on’ readable tags at a low price.
