Italy-based men’s clothing company Zegna has unveiled its first commercially available ‘Solar JKT’ jacket with an integrated solar solution at the Pitti Immagine Uomo fashion show currently being held in Florence, Italy.

With solar modules—based on Interactive Wear AG’s iSolarX technology platform which was developed with Solarc in association with Zegna Sport—mounted on a neoprene collar, the jacket generates solar energy which is transmitted through a conducting textile and can be stored temporarily in a buffer battery or fed directly to a connected device.
