AATCC to hold Textile Testing Workshop

27/06/2007
The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) will host an Introduction to Textile Testing Workshop at its Technical Center in North Carolina on October 25-26, which will provide an overview of the tests needed to run a textile laboratory.
The event is aimed at those responsible for product evaluation, specifications and quality control of fibres, yarns, fabrics, garments and carpets.

Some 25 AATCC procedures for evaluating colourfastness and physical properties will be demonstrated and discussed as well as sessions on basic colour theory and fibre identification. Participants will be given hands-on exercises and will learn how to use the association’s Gray Scales for Staining and Color Change, Chromatic Transference Scale and Xenon Reference Fabric.
