With the aim of ensuring long-term competitiveness and enhancing product and service quality, German chemicals company Cognis has spun off its Process Chemicals strategic business unit, which will now trade as an independent company under the name of Pulcra Chemicals GmbH.

The new company will manufacture a range of chemicals for the fibre, textile, and leather industries and will operate sites and service centres in Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and the USA. It will offer additives for the manufacturing and processing of man-made fibres, and products and technical services for every stage of textile production from the manufacture of yarns and fabrics, through dyeing and printing, to the final treatment.
