According to local media reports, New Zealand textile company Pod has rejected a NZ$8 million ($6.2 million) bid to buy its Designer Textiles International unit made by Australia’s The Merino Company.  

Shareholders had been advised to reject the bid following the receipt of a new offer from another company.
