France-based developer of software and CAD/CAM equipment Lectra has signed a partnership agreement with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber for Italian Fashion), the association that oversees the development of Italian fashion worldwide.

As a result of this partnership, Lectra will be involved with all the major Italian fashion events, including industry-related conferences, promotional events and fashion shows, such as Milano Moda Donna and Milano Moda Uomo. The company will also work with the CNMI on programmes to help young Italian designers through the ‘Fashion Incubator Project’.

Founded in 1958, the CNMI represents 200 Italian fashion companies and works with schools in order to train and promote young fashion designers.
