BASF raises prices

24/07/2007

Effective immediately, German chemicals company BASF has increased prices for colorants and additives globally from between 5% and 20%, depending on the product line, and as existing contracts allow. The company attributes the change to increased energy, raw material and transportation costs.

The products that are affected are: organic, inorganic and effect pigments, pigment preparations, specialty films, dyes, thickeners and light stabilisers. These products are primarily used in the coatings, plastics and specialties industries.
