Reflecting strong growth momentum in one of its largest markets and its rapidly expanding retail presence across China, Nike opened a new flagship store in Beijing on August 3.
Commenting on the opening of the new outlet, Nike brand president, Charlie Denson, stated, “China is one of Nike’s biggest growth opportunities, and one of the most dynamic retail markets in the world. As we head toward the Olympics, we’re extending our brand leadership, deepening our consumer relationships and building what we expect soon to be a $1 billion business and Nike’s second-largest market in the world.”
The new Beijing store is the largest of approximately 3,000 Nike retail destinations now open in China.
