Demand for weatherometer test soars
Requests for tests to evaluate materials for resistance to fading and weathering have risen dramatically in 2007 according to UK-based SATRA. The technology centre has announced that since having invested in a weatherometer to expand its capabilities in this field, demand for this type of testing has increased 300% and is still rising.
SATRA can now assess a number of different materials for weathering including textiles, leather, coated fabrics, rubber and plastics which are commonly used in the leathergoods, furniture, footwear, marine, aerospace and automotive industries.
