Trends experts believe lighter weight textiles will continue to be part of the autumn 2008 offerings that will go on show at forthcoming trade events, starting with Première Vision in Paris in September. More comfortable synthetics, luxurious and innovative fibre blends will also be part of the mix.
In terms of look, metallic and shine treatments, on everything from woollens and satins to denims and performance knits, will be popular.
In response to the “green” trend in textiles, trend analysts believe organic velvets, available in bamboo, linen and cotton/soya blends, will also be in demand.
