BIC inks Atchison acquisition

Specialist rucksack and golf-bag supplier Atchison Products has signed a definitive agreement to transfer to the BIC Group, best known for its distinctive pens.
BIC will now go ahead with its plan to purchase the company for an undisclosed fee.
Atchison, whose headquarters are in the Kansas town of the same name, will celebrate its centenary next year. Its sales, which take place only through promotional distributors and are mostly aimed at the corporate market, reached $15 million last year.
The company has 125 employees.
