The captain of the US women's national team, Kristine Lilly, is putting her name to 100 pairs of limited-edition adidas Predator boots.
She will wear the new design herself at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup, which kicks off in China next week.
All proceeds from the pairs that sell will go into a fund to support the Special Olympics.

"The game of soccer has given me so much, so I wanted to give back," Ms Lilly explained on launching the design.
An Olympic gold medallist herself in 1996 and 2004, she is nicknamed the "Iron Woman." She is the first and only player, male or female, to play in over 300 international games, and has scored 121 goals and made 95 assists in her 324 national team matches so far.
"Lilly is one of the greatest women to ever play soccer," said Antonio Zea, adidas America's soccer business director. "We wanted to honour her and everything she brings to the sport of soccer."
Personal touches on the Predators include Ms Lilly's own motto, 'Always Believe', and her quad number, 13, embroidered on the tongue. To commemorate the World Cup, the fifth she will take part in, she included the tournament logo and September 10–30 2007 on the bottom outsole of the boot.
A US flag is embroidered on the heel and her autograph is embroidered on the side of the left boot as her 'seal of approval' on the design. The 100 pairs of the special boots will only be available through the Eurosport catalogue and from soccer.com.
