The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) claims to have resolved a dispute with major sports brand Nike.

Nike has been a sponsor of the Indian cricket team, but is believed to have received a claim for compensation from rival brand adidas, which had in place an earlier sponsorship deal with star batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

Nike, it appears, felt it had received incorrect reassurances from the BCCI before signing the deal and is asking the cricket authorities to pay the sum adidas is demanding, believed to be more than $1 million.
