Burlington signs India agreement

Burlington WorldWide has entered into a marketing and commercial partnership with OCM India Limited (OCM), an Amritsar-based company that specialises in manufacturing worsted wool fabrics. Both companies are majority-owned by WL Ross & Co.
Under the agreement, Burlington will provide technical and manufacturing support to OCM in the development of advanced manufacturing processes. The Indian company will try to use the new methods to develop new wool fabrics.
The US-based company will also develop and operate an export program for the sale of OCM products to international markets. OCM will be licensed to produce and sell enhanced wool fabrics under the Burlington brand-name in the domestic Indian market.
