A natural step

The Hyosung Corporation has said it will make its creora elastane product more environmentally friendly by mixing it with natural fibres.

The company claimed that combine creora with wool, linen and cotton, as well as with other textiles derived from natural sources, such as soybeans and seaweed, would allow it to mill fabric using less energy.

It said it would also use low-temperature finishing procedures whenever possible to help it cut down on carbon emissions. Creora, it said, would bring comfort and stretch capabilities to all these natural fibres.

Hyosung said it believed sports apparel, as well as intimate and seamless garments, and socks and other hosiery would be good applications for the combination.
