According to reports, 50 Vietnamese apparel companies have been invited to appear at the fourth edition of the ‘Outstanding Enterprises in Vietnam’s Textile-Garment Industry’ awards, which will be held on November 4 in Hanoi.

Viet Tien Garment Corp took the top spot in the competition for the fourth year running, with Coats Phong Phu Textile JVC in second and Nha Be Garment JSC in third place.

According to the competition’s organisers, apparel exports totalled $5.9 billion in 2006 compared with $4.8 billion in 2005. Exports this year are expected to rise further to $7.3 billion for 2007.
