Positive sales results at Ted Baker
UK fashion apparel, footwear and accessories company Ted Baker has posted an 8.3% sales increase to £66.2 million for the first half of 2007 ended August 11. Although wholesale sales fell 4.1%, retail sales rose 15.1% to £45.4 million. However, earnings for the period were flat with the prior-year period.
The company described the first half as “another good trading period”.
Retail sales were up 12.5% in the first seven weeks of the second half to September 29, while wholesales sales fell 5.3% compared with the same period last year
“The initial response to our autumn/winter collections has been very positive,” said chief executive and founder Ray Kelvin.
