Dow XLA links up with Thakoon Panichgul
The results of a collaboration between Dow Fiber Solutions’ XLA brand and high-end women's fashion designer Thakoon Panichgul have been seen at events in both New York and Paris in the last month.
Thakoon Panichgul’s spring 2008 collection previewed at the Mercedes-Benz fashion week in New York City on September 7 and at Première Vision Pluriel from September 18-21.
The collection’s eight pieces featuring wool and Dow XLA, which included a slate vested jacket and navy slouch shorts, reflected a sporty and innovative, but still elegant look for women.
“Because Dow XLA virtually disappears into the wool, the garments retain their luxurious drape and texture, important value propositions to clothing designers and their clients alike,” said Akiko Inui, global brand marketing manger for Dow XLA.
Dow XLA offers resistance to chemical harshness and high heat as well as stretch and recovery for better freedom of movement.
