Strong season at Polaris
All-terrain vehicles and related apparel manufacturer Polaris Industries Inc. has posted record sales of $544 million for the third quarter, an increase of 11% compared with $490.1 million for the same period last year. Parts, garments, and accessories sales increased 13% year-on-year from $68.8 million in the 2006 quarter to 77.6 million this year.
Despite the fact that net income fell to $39.1 million compared with $42.7 million in the third quarter of 2006, CEO, Tom Tiller remained positive. “We expect fourth quarter 2007 sales growth in the range of 12-15%,” he said.
