Positive period for Veltex

US apparel and accessories company Veltex Corporation has posted higher revenues and profits for the second quarter of 2007.

Revenues reached $17.3 million during the quarter, while profit totalled $1,.9 million.

Meanwhile, first half revenue reached $35.6 million compared with $33.4 million for the same period in 2006.

The company is on track to exceed last year’s performance, according to Veltex CEO, Javeed Matin. "We will soon be evaluating the feasibility of continuing or expanding our China enterprise,” he added.

The company is headquartered in California and has distribution centres in the USA and Canada as well as factories in Bangladesh. It designs and manufactures apparel and headwear and functional textiles. Fabrics produced include denim, microfilament, velvet, twill, canvas and duck and pinpoints oxford fabrics. It also recently added an organic cotton line of clothing.
