Space at Yarn Expo Spring almost doubles
Premier yarn and fibre sourcing event Yarn Expo Spring 2008has been expanded by nearly 85%. The fair will take place from March 27–29 in Beijing and will cover 5,500 m² of exhibition space compared with 3,000 m² in 2007. It will again be held at the China World Trade Centre in Beijing.
As the largest textile and apparel exporter in the world, China relies on yarn and fibre imports to meet its enormous demand. While apparel exports increased 19% in 2006 over 2005, China imported $4.5 billion worth of yarn, up 7%.
More than 100 exhibitors attended the 2007 expo, which attracted nearly 5,000 visitors from 47 countries and regions, including fabric-weaving mills, importers and wholesalers of yarn and fibres.
Yarn Expo Spring will run concurrently with Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics.
