Advansa’s Thermolite used for record jump

Thermolite, Advansa’s brand for insulation fabrics and garments is sponsoring the world record attempt of a supersonic free fall. Frenchman Michel Fournier is to wear a modified ultra low temperature astronaut suit containing two layers of Thermolite Micro Performance Insulation.

This insulation inside the modified space suit will enable Mr Fournier to survive temperatures below –100ºC (-150º Fahrenheit) for ten minutes.

It contains a patented blend of ultra-thin micro fibres with a special silicone coating and offers. warmth without excess bulk or weight. Other benefits include softness and freedom of movement, compatibility and durability. It can also be used for day apparel, quilts, sleeping bags, jackets, coats and high-tech garments.
