Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) has showcased its most recent developments in merino wool developments at the sixth annual China International Woollen Knitwear Fair. The event ran from October 18-22 in Dalang.

The event welcomed a number of exhibitors showcasing woollen knitwear, knitting machinery, computer design systems, yarns and fibres and woollen knitwear accessories.

Prior to the fair, AWI global product development manager, Jimmy Jackson, said: “It is an opportunity for AWI to meet with domestic brands, garment manufacturers, spinners and knitters to showcase its latest collection of Merino wool knitwear recently launched at Spin expo yarn trade fair in Shanghai.”

The collection is based on three platforms: Merino Care; Merino Soft; and Merino Visual, encompassing more than 15 product developments.

The collection ranges from ultra-lightweight textiles through to aromatherapy-treated fabrics to help wearers feel revived or relaxed.
