US-based synthetic fibres, industrial yarns and nonwovens group Unifi, Inc. has posted net loss of $9.2 million for its first quarter ended September 23 compared with net loss of $10.1 million for the prior-year.

Net sales for the quarter totalled $170.5 million compared with net sales of $169.9 million for the prior year September quarter.

Unifi brands include aio, Sorbtek, A.M.Y., Mynx UV, Repreve, Reflexx, MicroVista and Satura.
