Revenues slip at Jones Apparel

US-based apparel and footwear firm Jones Apparel Group Inc. has posted net income of $400.1 million for its third quarter compared with $63 million for the same period last year.
However, discounting income stemming from the sale of its Barneys unit and other items, revenues dropped 4.6% to $1.03 billion compared with $1.08 billion in the third quarter of 2006.
