First regional bluesign office opened
Switzerland-based independent industry textile standard bluesign technologies ag has opened its first regional office, bluesign technologies germany gmbh in Augsburg near Munich. It will mainly be responsible for onsite bluesign screenings of system partners. It will also update and maintain the EHS (environment, health and safety) database which is available to all bluesign supporters as an internet platform. Evaluation of textile lab tests and general EHS services for bluesign technologies ag and partners will also take place at the site.
Bluesign technologies was founded in 2000 and the standard has since been adopted by textile and chemical manufacturers including Huntsman Textile Effects, Schoeller Textil AG and Christian Eschler AG as well as retailers such as Nike and Patagonia.
