Q2 sales up 70% at Indo Rama

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd., which claims to be India’s largest polyester manufacturer, has posted improved second quarter and half year results.

Sales for the quarter totalled Rs7.2 billion ($182.5 million) compared with Rs4.2 billion in the corresponding period last year, an increase of 70%.

Sales for the six-month period rose 55.9% to Rs14.5 billion compared with Rs9.3 billion for the prior-year period.

Chairman and managing director, Mr O Lohia, said: “The demand environment continues to be positive for the polyester segment.”

“I believe Indo Rama Synthetics is well poised to deliver strong bottom line growth, going forward,” he added.
