German sportswear company Puma is increasing its presence in the Romanian market by establishing its own subsidiary, Puma Sports Romania, which will become operative on January 1, 2008.

The company has been selling its goods in the country through its current distributor Mexxem since 1999 and Mexxem will continue to operate the business until January.
