Nike and Foot Locker open first House of Hoops
Nike and Foot Locker have kicked off their first joint venture with the opening of a basketball-themed House of Hoops store in New York City.
This is the first of 50 such stores to be opened in the next three years, bringing Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse under one roof. These outlets will contain basketball products that cannot be bought elsewhere, including exclusive footwear. These limited edition performance shoes will feature embellishments that All-Star players such as Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd and rookie Kevin Durant wear on court. Other limited edition styles will also be offered, including the China-specific colourways made for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
President of the Nike brand, Charlie Denson, said: “House of Hoops offers a stellar line-up of performance and basketball inspired footwear, apparel and equipment from the game’s biggest names, meeting the needs of the every day player.”
