New fabrics to launch at Cannes fairs
The sixth edition of Mare de Moda and Intimo di Moda will be held from November 27-29 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
A number of companies will be launching new products at the event, including Italian producer of circular knit fabric for swimwear, underwear, outerwear, fashion and sportswear Maglificio Ripa, which will showcase 54 ultra light fabrics and a new range of organic fabrics.
Meanwhile, Italy-based knitted stretch fabrics manufacturer Piave Maitex will present several new products including its Emozioni (Emotions), Carbon ‘ESD’ and Super Chlorine Resistant ranges.
Emozioni is a line of tricot fabrics that are said to be compact, soft and versatile, incorporating two-way stretch. The basic version can be used for technical sportswear, beachwear, fitness apparel and outerwear, while the Micro version is designed for use in underwear, sports underwear and fashion garments.
Carbon ‘ESD’ is a high carbon content warp-knit (8%), with two-way controlled elasticity and high breathability. It is printable, mouldable and naturally antistatic – a real benefit when used during sporting activities. The company’s Super Chlorine Resistant fabrics are made with Lycra Xtra Life and are best suited to the activewear, swimwear and athletic apparel sectors.
