20/11/2007

Minnesota-based retailer Target Corporation has signed a deal with Nike subsidiary Converse Inc. to sell its ‘One Star’ vintage-inspired sport lifestyle apparel and footwear range. The collection will be exclusively available at Target stores from February 2008. Target has 1,591 stores in 47 states.

The One Star range will include contemporary sportswear collections for men and women as well as limited edition footwear for men, women and children.

The One Star label made its debut in 1974 with a low cut, suede version of the original Converse basketball oxford with the five-point star design on its side. It was popular with surfers and skaters in the 1970s and 1980s.
