Blacks appoints new chief executive

UK-based outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment company Blacks Leisure has appointed former chief executive of Esporta, Neil Gillis, as its new chief executive.

Mr Gillis will replace Keith Fleming, who has been acting chief executive since June. Mr Fleming will continue as deputy chief executive and finance director.

Mr Gillis has more than 20 years of senior management experience in the UK consumer goods and leisure sectors.

In addition to the Blacks brand, the company also operates the Millets, Freespirit, O'Neill and Mambo brands.
