VF names new managing director for India
VF Corp. has appointed Kanchan Pant as the new managing director of VF Arvind Brands Private Ltd., its majority-owned joint venture in India. He will report to president - VF Asia Pacific, Aidan O'Meara, and will be based in Bangalore. He will focus on growing the Lee, Wrangler, Nautica, Kipling and JanSport businesses.
Mr Pant has 20 years of branded apparel and retailing business experience in India as well as in other international markets. He recently served as the managing director and CEO of Indus League Clothing Ltd. Prior to this he was a member of the management team at Madura Garments and was the first brand manager for the Van Heusen business when it launched in India. Mr Pant spent three years in London with the fashion retail business of Coats Viyella Plc.
