Ihsan Sports sponsors Jamaican national team
Reports indicate that a three-year deal worth J$32 million ($450,000) has been agreed by the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) and Pakistani sports manufacturer Ihsan Sports.
Although the sportswear company has already provided the kit and equipment for domestic tournaments this season, the deal has been extended so that the group has now become official sponsor of the national team. It will now supply the country’s cricketers with on-field kit, training and travel gear. It will also provide gear for the Cricket Centre of Excellence, for umpires and for teams in the Super Cup in 2008.
Established over 50 years ago Ihsan Sports is widely known for its handmade cricket bats and high-end cricket equipment. It also has sponsorship deals with the Bangladesh and Kenyan national teams.
