Action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories Zumiez Inc. has reported a rise in third quarter sales and earnings.

Net income for the third quarter was $8.1 million compared with $6.8 million for the same quarter last year, while gross profit was $38.6 million compared with $30.3 million. Net sales rose 26.5% $104 million from $82.3 million for the corresponding quarter in 2006.

For the first nine months of 2007, net income totalled $12.9 million compared with $9.6 million, while sales for the period were $254.8 million compared with $185.8 million.
