Ten arrests in $200 million fake clothing case

According to reports, ten arrests were made on December 5 in connection with a $200 million counterfeit apparel smuggling ring. Fake apparel has reportedly been sent to New York from China. Other charges have been brought against members of the group for attempting to bribe an undercover officer at customs.
The illicit goods included apparel, sports footwear and accessories. Rip-off Nike and Polo Ralph Lauren products were said to be among the 100 seized containers.
