Piave Maitex technician awarded
Technician at Italy-based knitted stretch fabrics manufacturer Piave Maitex, Dario Maccagnan, is one of eight workers to be awarded the first ever national award for work.
The prize – designed to recognise ordinary people who make a significant impact in their workplace – was introduced by Manpower Italia and work association AIDP with the backing of the country’s minister for work.
Mr Maccagnan joined the company having completed his studies in 1969, first as an apprentice and later becoming a fabric technician. Working in the quality control and customer service department, he has made a significant contribution to the research and development of new products in response to client demand.
