C.A.M.P. unveils winter 2009 lines
Italian outdoor equipment company C.A.M.P. has introduced new mountaineering and ski backpacks as well as technical gloves, hats and headbands for winter 2009.
The CAMPack X3 Light for ski touring and climbing has a 30-litre capacity and is said to be lightweight and breathable. Weighing just 790g, it features comfortable shoulder straps and hip belt and includes 'back door' access to the main compartment. The CAMPack X3 for mountaineering and ski touring is similar and allows the wearer to carry alpine tools such as ice axes, avalanche probe, snow shovel and crampons. It weighs 990g.
The new glove range includes the lightweight G-Comp glove, which is designed for competitive ski mountaineering and made from Lycra for flexible fit. The glove is reinforced on the palm, thumb and forefinger and uses Grip’R technology for wear-resistance and holding power. Meanwhile, the G-Comp Wind is designed for ski mountaineering, general mountaineering and backcountry skiing. It has built-in Windmit’N protection.
Its G-Tech lightweight windproof glove can also be used for ski mountaineering, general mountaineering and downhill/backcountry skiing. Pittard’s Armortan leather reinforcements between the thumb and forefinger combine with Grip’R technology for extra holding power and durability. A Neoprene wristband and Velcro fastening offer advanced fit. Other gloves in the range include the G-Hot with Thermolite insulation, the G-Shell+Lite three-layer waterproof glove for downhill skiing and mountaineering, the G-Lite for intense mountain activities and the windproof fingerless G-Swing.
